Junior Year
Academe's college counseling process begins in February of the junior year. At that time, the college handbook is distributed and students receive information on SAT preparation. The students are encouraged to take their first SAT in the spring. Parents of junior students receive an overview of Academe’s college counseling service. The juniors attend information sessions of invited college representatives. The students are encouraged to work on a college essay draft over the summer.
Senior Year
College representatives from colleges and universities around the country visit Academe of the Oaks during the fall semester. We assist our students with college research and meet with them as a class and individually. The students take an active role in the application process and organize a schedule for college visits, applications, tests, and interviews.
