Guy Strauss
Guy Strauss has over eight years of experience as a private drum instructor. In addition, his students benefit from his ten years of experience as a touring and recording drummer for many major label acts.
Guy teaches all styles and skill levels using a practical and musical approach to drumming. Areas of study include rhythms in various styles, timing, dynamics, reading standard notation, technique, rudiments, and independence. Guy also guides his students to focus on musicality, feel, development of creative abilities and listening analysis.
Guy majored in music at Miami Dade Community College, studied privately with Steve Rucker (Professor of Music, University of Miami), and completed the Certificate Program at Drummers Collective, New York City.
