Dr. Veronique Perrot
Dr. Veronique Perrot received her undergraduate degree in Agronomy Engineering from the Institut National Agronomique in Paris, France. She received her MS in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Montpellier II, in France, before completing her PhD in Zoology at the University of Basel in Switzerland. Dr. Perrot completed post-doctoral studies in Evolutionary Biology at Emory University where she works as a research associate in the Department of Biology.
Before beginning her graduate work in Switzerland, Dr. Perrot was a lab instructor to first year undergraduates in the University of Lille-Flandres-Artois, France. She continued to work with undergraduates in research coursework throughout her graduate and post-graduate training. Dr. Perrot has published papers and articles in numerous scientific publications.
Although Dr. Perrot is a scientist, she has a great love for practical arts, particularly woven textiles. She is an avid knitter, spinner and weaver. Dr. Perrot teaches earth sciences, biology, and practical arts at Academe of the Oaks.
